Telehealth Psychologist | Greater Washington DCI am a licensed clinical psychologist in Arlington, Virginia with expertise in treating adolescents and adults in individual psychotherapy. While my private psychology practice has been based in Northern Virginia for fifteen years, I also hold the Authority to practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) under PSYPACT. This certification allows me to practice telehealth in all 39 participating states. You can check the PSYPACT website here to verify if I can treat you in your state.
My approach to therapy is down-to-earth, practical, and solution-oriented. As a clinical psychologist I have extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and have seen many clients improve using these proven techniques. I have helped people overcome their problems in a variety of settings including hospitals, university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and schools. Additionally, I have extensive knowledge and experience working within special education. I worked for over ten years as a psychologist for Fairfax County Public Schools, counseling adolescents with significant mental health issues. Having treated these young people makes me a valuable resource for parents involved in the special education process. My low-key style and sense of humor works well with teens who are reluctant to try counseling. I am a former adjunct professor of psychology at George Washington University and am credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. I work with people on a variety of topics and my areas of particular specialty include:
